JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

• Manage and provide direction in the execution of all civil requirements of the assigned projects; supervise the execution and installations activities along with the implementation of the Project Quality Standards that is responsive to the policies, procedures and manuals as defined in the contractual agreement.
• Assess and carry out detail studies of the civil scope of works and associated activities, based on drawings and specifications, distribution of available resources and provide guidance to Site / Civil & Project Engineers.
• Work alongside the General Manager towards development of the Construction Execution Plan, control of project cost, work schedules, and ensure coordination with operational team to align their plans and deliverables based on the project schedule to ensure objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and budget parameters.
• Develops an understanding of all civil aspects of the contract, including controls change/scope creep, ensuring that all scope changes are timely and properly documented, and that change orders are approved prior to the performance of the work.
• Coordinate with PRO to ensure permits & other required legal work are carried out prior to execution of civil tasks at sites and set the targets to complete on schedule.
• Liaise with the client’s representatives to ensure proper and timely involvement and approval of civil related deliverables, as well as a professional and business?like client/contractor relationship throughout the scope of the project.
• Review approved method statements before the execution of works and provide guidance to civil team members in performing the job with extreme precision and safety.
• Coordinate with client regarding any technical clarification required for construction or any discrepancies in IFC drawings, prepare organization chart for the civil group, prepare manpower histogram, monitor the deviation in work activities to include study of the process system and data sheets.
• Coordinate with Cost Control & Planning manager to maintain appropriate cost control with the requirement of the contract and remain alert to the means and methods which the operations of the project team may be improved, and recommend revisions to the operating plan and detailed functioning of the work force when appropriate.
• Prepare monthly status reports for the project to keep the client and management informed of civil construction progress and the status of costs and schedule as related to the budgets and previous forecasts.
• Implement, manage and maintain an effective working relations with the work groups to ensure that work proceeds without disruption, and maintaining daily communications to ensure the accurate and timely flow of information.
• Advises General Manager regarding developments that could affect project schedule, costs, client relations and or inter?departmental relations.
• Monitor Site & Project Engineers in aspect to the tasks & coordinate accordingly in improving performance where & how it is required.
• Perform supervision with precaution and safety awareness and while supervising has the responsibility in ensuring their compliance with the established safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with all statutory requirements connected with the implementation of project and ensure proper handingover of project including transmittal of final documentation to client.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software operation.
