JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Security policy and Governance:
- Plan for future-state information security policies, control objectives and IT program investments to maintain compliance with regulatory, contractual and internal requirements.
- Develop, communicate, and deploy information security governance processes.
- Annual review and maintenance of Information Security policies, control objectives and standards.
- Consult with IT and functional management to ensure alignment of Information Security policies, control objectives and standards with regulatory, contractual and internal requirements.
- Consult with IT and functional management in adapting operational procedures to comply with Information Security policies, control objectives and standards.
- Consult with IT and functional management to ensure IT project requirements include applicable Information Security policies, control objectives and standards.
- Lead 3rd party service provider governance compliance Audits.
- Lead customer governance compliance Audits.
- Lead efforts to leverage automation and self-service to improve the timeliness of security governance activities.
- Assist resource owners and IT staff in understanding and responding to security audit failures reported by internal and external auditing departments.
- Consult with Information Security teams to maintain scorecards for tracking compliance with Information Security policies, control objectives and standards.
- Train and mentor other team members to consistently deliver on the goals and objectives of the Information Security governance program.
- Facilitates periodic independent reviews of ISMS and facilitate internal or external Audit.
- Coordinates with different stakeholders for timely closure of any non-conformity reported during audit of the ISMS.
- Periodically conducts Risk Assessments (RA) to identify, assess and mitigate security risks.
- Prepares the Business case and forecasts the requirement related to information security and coordinates with management, Finance & CEC committee for approvals.
- Stays updated about all latest developments in the field of Information Security and the latest best practice into the ISMS.
REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge/Technical Skills:
- This position requires a self-motivated, creative and detail-oriented individual with a strong knowledge of legal information management and/or information governance processes and technologies. Aptitude and interest in information technologies, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills is necessary. Minimum of +6 years of prior experience that demonstrates good business understanding.
- Must be capable of analyzing data, understanding technology, effectively prioritizing tasks/projects, and communicating complex and/or technical topics relating to IG to those who have no prior knowledge of the Firm's systems and policies. Must have excellent communication skills, strong management, organization, analytical, planning and leadership skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications is required.
- Candidates with an educational background from a wide variety of disciplines including information technology, legal, compliance, information management, and/or records management or equivalent experience will be considered.
- Understanding of cyber risk management and ability to effectively communicate cyber risk to senior leadership.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks, including but not limited to: ISO 27001, NIST CSF, COBIT, ITIL, PCI DSSechnical Skills.
