Role Summary:

The GE Internship Program is an investment in young talents where GE trains students who meet the required criteria to perform their internship program in a corporate function. Program duration is 10-12 weeks. The program will develop the general skills of the intern with on the job knowledge and experience.

Internship Period will be between June & August.

Essential Responsibilities:

During the program GE will provide assignments, projects & tasks that is related to his/her major where the intern can develop Leadership Capabilities, communication skills and introduce him to the work environment.

On Wing Support

- Candidate will be introduced to the various disciplines that support a small Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Operation for GEnx Engines
- Candidate will be made aware of GE Aviation's EHS requirements of working in a MRO site
- Candidate will spend 1 week shadowing and supporting Logistics / Operations / Quality Assurance - EASA 145 introduction
- Candidate will choose an area of the operation to carry out a 4 week MRO improve initiative

CTEC

- Candidate will be introduced to technical domain on engines
- Candidate will develop process management skills
- Candidate will develop Customer relationship skills
- Digital Play

Airside Field Service

- Engine data collection and remote diagnostics analysis - he/she will help streamline Customer Notification Report process to ensure timely on-wing action and feedback loop Gg
- Engine configuration management
- Ensure proper tracking of critical engine parts across multiple product lines to help our regional Fleet Support / Engineering Teams in the development of value added analytics driving Customer outcomes
- Engine inspection data management
- Improve and simplify borescope and other inspection data collection processes to make the data readily available for Field Service Engineers' Technical Program Plans and Fleet Programs usage

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Final year of University in a Mechanical or Aerospace engineering degree - Aeronautical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Should be a student during the internship period. Students who already graduated earlier this year or graduating prior to the internship period will not qualify.
- GPA: Minimum 3.0
- Candidate must be studying in the same country as the location of the internship (as we do not provide sponsorships or visa)
- Good leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good Interpersonal skills
- Passion for Commercial Aviation
- Analytical skills
- Process improvement experience appreciated
- Advanced Excel/Database management skills
- Ease of verbal/written communication
- Comfortable at building relationships in a customer facing environment
- Must be fluent in English
