Senior Accountant
My client is a domestic greenhouse farm utilizing both high technology and low technology hydroponic and soil-less methods focused on producing tomatoes, capsicums and cucumbers for the local market in Qatar. They are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to prepare a monthly budget according to international accounting standards and highlighting Key Performance Indicators applicable to this industry.
The successful candidate will be preparing weekly and monthly reports showing actual results, performance against the budget, forecasts for the remaining fiscal year and the analysis behind identified variances. You will also prepare annual financial statements according to international accounting standards and coordinate with the auditors for the preparation of year-end audit. In addition to this you will also be processing the company’s salaries (permanent and temporary workers) and invoicing with all contractors.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess an Accounting diploma & certification (IFRS, IAS or similar GAAP) and possess knowledge of SAGE accounting software with least 7 to 10 years as general accountant, preferably in a similar organization structure and role. You must have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely in English and operate in a multi-cultural environment (Arabic or other language a plus).
