Role Summary:

The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of projects throughout their lifecycle. They are responsible for defining, planning, tracking and managing the project, for identifying key resources and providing the direction they require in order meeting project objectives. The Project Manager provides leadership to cross-functional teams responsible for delivering defined project outputs to time, budget and project quality criteria.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Conduct project planning activities and manage the execution of projects according to plan.
• Define appropriate delivery model for customer project as a composition of pre-defined services, on-site and/or remote delivery.
• Identification of GE and customer responsibilities and deliverables as defined in the sales contract.
• Coordination of GE and contract resources.
• Creation of project implementation timeline with collaboration between customer, GE, and contract resources.
• Regular tracking and communication of implementation progress.
• Tracking of equipment delivery, installation, and testing.
• Tracking and assignment of project deliverables with owners and timing for completion.
• Provide regular communications including project kick-off, regular status updates, and project closure including regular customer site visits.
• Lead implementation team during clinical "Go Live" of the equipment.
• Maintain accurate project milestone date accuracy creating visible and predictable data for key business metrics and revenue forecasting.
• Act as the primary liaison between GE and the customer project teams.
• Scope and estimate the engagement.
• Determine required resources for the project.
• Ensure proper use of methodology, tools and procedures.
• Ensures proper governance is in place to best meet project objectives.
• Balance the trade-off of the triple constraint (time, cost and scope) to realize the expected business value.
• Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives, and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.
• Manage relationship with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables.
• Evaluate complex situations accurately and identify viable solutions that create successful outcome for the customer.
• Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget and timeline.
• Manage the financial aspects of the project: budgeting and estimate to actual variance.
• Ensure smooth OTR handover, no customer's project related issues, for invoicing and cash collection.
• After completion of project, effectively transfer all project and customer knowledge to support organization.
• Analyze risk, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.
• Escalate early issues about the project to account management.
• Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties. Gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained.
• Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer reference and success story.
• Maintain project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge management bases; analyze lessons learned and share with the organization's project management community.
• Participate in the development of project management best practices.
• Increase NPI scores with customers.
• Provide regular, timely and productive team and individual development feedback.
• Act as a role model for collaborative mindset across functions.
• Stay informed on cutting-edge tools and technologies that may be leveraged to improve project management productivity.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in healthcare technology or combination of equivalent related experience and education.
• Education to Bachelor Degree level.
• Knowledge of the strategic and operational issues of project management.
• A clear vision of what determines a successful project for the customer and for the enterprise.
• Knowledge of and competency in project management processes including planning tasks, resource allocation, risk management, time management, financial management, HR management, quality management, monitoring and reporting, documenting and record keeping.
• Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity and change.
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members
• Highly developed business acumen.
• Liaison and consultative skills: negotiating skills within a context of high political sensitivity and conflicting interests.
• Strong writing, mentoring, decision making, communication, and meeting facilitation skills; ability to utilize a combination of formal authority and persuasion skill sets.
• Strong knowledge of GEHC and exceptional knowledge of products and services offered within the modality.
• Ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence at all levels within an organization. Act as inspirational leader with optimism, highly approachable and humble.
• Ability to operate effectively in a multi-tasking, dynamic environment, while maintaining a forward-thinking and customer-first attitude.

Quality Specific Goals:

• Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.
• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
• Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Desired Characteristics:

• Experience leading in matrix organization without formal authority is a plus.

• Demonstrated problem solving and creative skills, ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on business needs and priorities to go beyond the status quo.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with Hospital IT and critical care areas.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing.
