JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Payroll
- Full accountability and responsibility of payroll. Working with very strict deadlines and ensuring integrity of the payroll data
- Point of contact for all payroll queries
- Monthly payroll reconciliation
- Ensure accuracy of the GOSI calculations and timely payment for GOSI
- Adhere to the company’s policies all the time
- Responsible for weekly payment run

Sales Ledger
- Raising sales invoice on instructions from Finance Manager or the Senior Finance Manager

Bank & Petty Cash
- Reconciliation of the bank account to the nominal ledger
- Review and monitor the colleges petty cash balances, reconciling to the general ledger and carrying out ad-hoc checks on petty cash floats

General Accounting
- Control and posting of all nominal ledgers
- Administration of the Fixed Asset register
- Support Finance Manager for month end closing
- Assist with the audit and annual financial statement preparation to allow for accurate and timely completion
- Work closely with Senior Managers and Principals to assist with business decisions and performance monitoring
- Ad hoc duties as requested

REQUIREMENTS

- Part qualified or willing to study towards financial qualification/recognised Accountancy Qualification. Guidance on your Application
- Excellent communicator (English) both written and oral with a proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management and non-finance personnel.

- Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail, honest and trustworthy
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment, and to react with discretion under varying conditions
- Ability to analyse financial data and to prepare accurate reports in a timely fashion
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to speak or write Arabic is desirable
- Experience using Microsoft Great Plains or similar ERP system
