Scope of Service
- Pediatric Oncology/Hematology (Care ward A)

Hours Of Operation
- 24 hours per day, 7 days a week

No. of Beds
- 20

Care Ward A (CWA) is a twenty bed unit, which provides acute care to pediatric hematology and oncology patients from one month to 14 years of age. The Unit consists of twenty positive air pressure rooms.

This child-friendly unit is located on the second level of the new expansion area of the King Fahad Centre for Children's Cancer (affectionately known as CCC). The majority of the children admitted to the center are infants, toddlers, and of pre-school age, although we do admit up to age of 14. On rare occasions, we admit adolescents if the patient is still under the care of the pediatric hematology/oncology physician. One sitter or parent must stay with the patient to reduce trauma of hospitalization.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements
- Registered Nurse with current nursing license from country of origin.
- At least two years post graduate experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology
