JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Senior Business Analyst with exposure to Core Banking change or functional background to lead engagement with the business to gather, analyse, refine and document their requirements for delivering the required business solution.
• Proactively engage with business to take the concept through to requirements that are outcome based and can be referenced by technical specialists to design and deliver functionality
• Translate inputs from business to solution design and validate them against business objectives and outcome based deliverables
• Arrange and chair meetings with business stakeholders and Technology teams to ensure new requirements are understood, complete and accurate
• Engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure that IT related business requirements are signed off
• Prepare business cases which define potential benefits, options for achieving these benefits through development of new or changed processes, and associated business risks
• Confirm completion of all requirements documentation, distribute and communicate requirements documents to relevant stakeholders and ensure IT-related business requirements are signed off by the business and sponsor.

REQUIREMENTS

• 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline i.e. Banking and Finance, Business, Accounting or IT
• 5+ years’ experience as an end-to-end Business Analyst on medium/ large scale programs
• Working as a Senior Business Analyst or Lead Business Analyst across large projects is required, preferably within Core Banking / Financial Services
• Strong knowledge of Banking processes and best practices i.e. Deposits, Payment systems, Straight Through Processing (STP) etc;
• Requirements analysis and documentation (functional and non-functional requirements)
• Requirements elicitation (planning and running requirements gathering workshops)
• Business Process Mapping skills
• Ability to coach and mentor less experienced Business Analyst
• Strong exposure to the Core Banking or Retail Banking domain
• Strong analytical skills and proven ability to deliver accurate, relevant and timely information.
• Good team working and interpersonal skills required to enable working closely with staff at all levels throughout an organisation, including managers and IT specialists.
• Excellent organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and ensure that deadlines are consistently met
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver results working to tight deadlines
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products such as (PowerPoint, excel, visio etc).
• Some Project Management experience would be of advantage
• Self-motivated, innovative and analytical
• A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having determination to follow things through
• Ability to engage successfully in multiple initiatives simultaneously
