JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Objective of the role:

To Assist the Credit and risk executive in managing the credit risk and the lending function of the company by analyzing, reviewing and monitoring lending portfolio of the company and ensuring that delinquency losses are minimized.

Responsibilities:

• To review and analyze credit proposals submitted by the business and relationship teams and making recommendations as appropriate within the agreed SLA.
• Review customer facilities on a regular basis taking into consideration latest information
• Analyze Customer Financial Statements using ratio and trend analysis
• Conduct credit checks for SME customers with Receivables Finance needs
• Develop and recommend credit limits through the analysis of information gathered
• Respond promptly and courteously to all client inquiries – timeliness is often critical to our clients’ success
• Maintain the credit information database
• Participate in the development and upgrading of departmental policies and procedures
• Work cohesively with the operational staff in effectively managing workload and credit risk
• Prepare and maintain regular credit control reports to monitor customer facilities and any irregularities
• Ensure all lending Documentation is complete as per the Company Policy and Procedures with respect to amount of finance, terms and conditions, borrower’s borrowing mandate, authorized signatory etc.
• Ensure compliance with the internal policy, credit approval terms and conditions regulatory ratio / policies etc., complete set of documentation Is complete and verification, thereof, before approving any new finance request
• Ensure that there is a robust process for the safe custody and control of all security documents

Interactions:

• The Jobholder will be reporting to the Credit, Risk & Compliance Executive

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

• Graduate with a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from an accredited university.

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of experience Credit functions (SME, Commercial Banking) in a similar financial institution in the UAE.

Skills:

• Ability to analyze financial information including company financial reports.
• Excellent written and spoken English Language skills with preference for Arabic Speakers
• Self-starter who can work with minimum supervision and a team player.
• High level skills for using Microsoft applications including Word and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
