JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Charterhouse is working with a UAE business positioned within the conference and exhibition space, who is looking to hire a Director of Exhibitions/Projects to be based in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business and brand within the UAE with fantastic options for progression and exposure across the region.
This role requires someone who can implement the company sales strategy, achieving strategic and financial targets through selling existing exhibitions and attracting new, innovative exhibitions to their exhibition space. You will be required to visit competitor exhibitions to source new market trends, ideas and to enhance market research. Budget management and controlling achievement of revenue for both yourself and the sales team are a core responsibility to the job role, and you will be expected to provide both leadership and training also.
REQUIREMENTS
The successful candidate should be based in the UAE or GCC and come from developed international markets with experience within the MICE sector. Ideally you should be Degree educated in a subject relating to either business or sales management. You should also have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role within the exhibitions industry and be proactive in maintaining your industry knowledge. This role will suit someone with strong sales knowledge, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
