JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Facilities Manager has the primary responsibility for the delivery and the day-to-day management of hard and soft Facilities Management services including the management of the Service delivery contractors and direct delivery team.

The Facilities Manager will manage staff and other resources in the most efficient manner to achieve client and facility user satisfaction and achieve agreed operational, SHEQ and budgetary targets.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Efficiently and effectively manage, control and deliver the Facilities Management Services across the Clients property portfolio.
• Actively cultivate and maintain a close working relationship with the various stakeholders.
• Manage the service contracts in accordance with the Company’s quality, H&S, environmental and risk and opportunity management systems.
• Ensure that the service providers work within the parameters of the agreed Policy and Procedures Manual and ensure amendments are made on an ongoing basis to reflect current work practices.
• Prepare and submit internal Monthly reports.
• Provide and participate in a 24-hour site team emergency call-out service on a rotation basis.
• Respond to reported issues and coordinate efficient and effective responses.
• Establish and manage ongoing relationships with relevant stakeholders.
• Attend meetings of the Clients that relate to the operation of the facility.
• Provide tenant and Contract provider site inductions.
• Participate in Facility emergency planning and operational committees as required

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical or building Services Engineering
• At least 10 years experience in Building Services and / or Facilities Management at a senior level
• Experienced in the use of CMMS.
• Understanding of current technical legislation in relation to the delivery of Facilities Maintenance Management (FMM).
• Demonstrated ability to manage Facility Services in the event of emergencies
• Ability to carry out condition, performance and regulatory compliance surveys and reports
• Experience in managing a power plant facility is an advantage

ESSENTIAL:

• Must be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi for a period no less than two consecutive years
• Ability to manage relationships with Service Contractors and suppliers, consultants and clients stakeholders and staff in a construction and facilities environment
• High level of knowledge in current computer software with essential knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook (or related programme), Internet access and CMMS.
