Our client currently have a vacancy for a Finance Director for their Emerging Markets region (India, Middle East, North Africa, Turkey) to be based in Dubai

The finance leader responsible for maintaining full oversight over the financials (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement), driving performance, by advising on strategic and operational decisions. Identifies and manages business opportunities and risks, driving the execution of improvement initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Regional Business Partner and trusted advisor to the business leadership team
• Provides strategic and operational decision making guidance to the leadership team to improve business performance and capital allocation decisions (e.g. sales growth, customers, supply chain, capex management)
• Drives the long term planning and strategy cycle setting within the market(s) to deliver robust strategic plans and initiatives
• Drives the short term planning cycles, developing guidance to articulate the business requirements and expected growth targets relating to long term planning, budgeting and forecasting processes to deliver effective performance targets
• Proactively identifies and supports strategic business initiatives and actions to drive performance to achieve forecast and targets
• Provides whole of business and region insights and commentary on the financial results and performance including balanced performance monitoring through multiple lenses (e.g. BVA, channel profitability, risk & opportunities, etc.)
• The role is jointly accountable for business financial results with business leader, compliance with the Company officer duties of the role, including the balance sheet and cash flow performances
• Ensures the effectiveness of risk management program, compliance and internal control environment for the region.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience
• Proven track record (20+ years) of Finance or Accounting Management experience preferably in complex multinational businesses within Senior Finance roles, including previous Finance business partnering experience
• Previous experience managing directors or managers
• Proven experience in driving change management initiatives
• Good understanding of FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes
• Good understanding of complex Finance, Accounting and Tax principles
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Proven expertise in remote management and managing in a matrix experience
• Decision maker, driven by objectives, solutions and results
• Strategic and critical thinker, can anticipate & provide scenarios for different problems
• Consistent behavior even under strong pressure
• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance/ Accounting or in a relevant finance technical discipline
• Minimum: Certified Accountant (e.g. ACA, CIMA, CPA, CA relevant to the market(s))
• Preferred: Master's Degree (e.g. Finance, Business Administration, Accounting)
• Fluency in English
