JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
One of the MENA region’s media companies are looking for a Head of IT to take control and align the technology vision with the business strategy to drive the organization forward.
The right candidate will be a strong character with experience of successful transformation and will shape and build the IT and application team through 3 core areas; Strategy & Planning, Acquisition & Deployment, and Operational Management.
Responsibilities:
• Participate as a member of senior management in governance processes of the organizations architecture, networks, programming, media and workstations
• Lead strategic technological planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies
• Collaborate with the appropriate teams to develop and maintain a technology plan that supports local and regional organizational needs
• Assess and communicate the risks associated with technology-related investments and purchases
• Define requirements for new technology implementations and communicate them to key business stakeholders
• Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for technology and spending initiatives
• Analyze and improve upon technology standards to maintain a technological and competitive edge within the market
• Act as a primary liaison for the agency’s technology vision
• Develop key technology enablement roadmap to improve operational performance including but not limited to resources planning, workflow distribution, integration into core tool stacks and overall training of the enterprise
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications:
• Extensive experience managing and/or directing IT operations
• Proven leadership and man-management capabilities
• Ability to work with highly experienced global leaders and communicate effectively
• Strong tactical skills and willingness to ‘do the work’ as well as ‘lead the work’
• Experience in strategic technology planning, execution and policy development
• Technical expertise in system networking, databases, web development and user support
• Excellent understanding of project management principles and enterprise architecture
• Knowledge in product management, security and compliance
• University Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration – Masters or PhD preferred
