JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

The Head of Human Resources will be responsible for the companies Group-wide policy and oversight in all areas of human capital management, including employment and staffing, compensation and benefits, employee relations and welfare, performance management and appraisal together with maintenance and development of HR policies, procedures and transactional processes. The individual will serve as a business partner to the CEO, CFO and senior management and as such the role is seen as key in the further future strategic development of the organisation.

REQUIREMENTS

Key Responsibilities:

• Resourcing
- Review the Organisations Human Resource requirements in the context of forecast business activity and assist in future planning including succession requirements where applicable.
- Lead the end-to-end management of the selection and recruitment process to ensure that the organisations competency requirements are maintained within a transparent and cost effective framework including dealing with recruitment/executive search firms where required.
- Carry out all recruitment administration including supporting relevant managers in development of job descriptions, the candidate filter and interview process and undertaking the preparation of contractual offers and the employee on-boarding process.

• Compensation and Benefits/Performance Management
- Work with the CFO to develop and constantly update the compensation and benefits program for the Group at all levels keeping abreast of market trends within the sector and regionally/internationally.
- Work with the CFO to link business performance targets/KPIs to individual management and staff KPIs. Develop and expand upon the current appraisal system to provide an effective formal evaluation process ensuring staff receive a clear, well communicated and documented assessment of their performance against agreed role requirements and deliverables. Review the reflection of this process within the context of bonuses/promotions.

• Talent Management/Training and Development
- Develop a competency framework for all job families and work with the Training Institute Manager to tailor training schedules for staff to develop the necessary core competencies required of their role and future requirements of the business.
- Work with the Training Institute Manager to ensure the validity of the evaluation of training received whether through in-house delivery of provided by third parties.

• HR Policies/Procedures and Transactional Processes
- Maintenance and development of all HR policies and procedures including ensuring their compliance with required legislation and a desire to adopt international best practice in all areas as practicable.
- Ensure HR transactional processes are undertaken within policy and procedural guidelines and further embed these within the companies ISO accredited management systems.
- Oversee the running of the HR functions and manage departmental staff across the Group locations.

• Employee Engagement
- Administer and provide guidance to senior management and heads of department on HR policies and practice including performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters and ensuring best practice is followed at all times.
- Oversee all aspects of employee welfare including day-to-day living requirements as required and management of sickness and absence processes.
- Review and develop employee communication and feedback channels including any committee/forum structures as considered desirable.

• General Management
- Any other duties commensurate with the role

Person Specification :

• Qualifications
- Educated to degree level as a minimum with HR relevant degree preferable.
- Professional qualification in HR preferred (CIPD or equivalent)

• Experience Required
- 10+ years of broad, generalist experience across human capital functions within a large international organization or from working in a human capital focused consulting sphere, serving as a business partner to line management.
- Strong knowledge of best practice in human capital management processes and HR systems and processes.

• Personal Skills/Attributes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills ability to engage with all levels of the organization including C-suite/senior management. (English essential with a working knowledge of arabic seen as an additional positive).
- Leadership, business and commercial acumen aligned with a hands-on attitude.
- A high level of professional honesty and integrity as would be expected within this senior role.
- Proven knowledge of both desktop office software and organizational HR/ERP IT systems.
