JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Established in the 18th century our client is the largest and oldest worldwide insurance company. They have over 15 offices around the world. They are currently looking for a Project Manager for their office in Dubai.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The role involves planning and managing the delivery of one or more discrete projects. You will manage the projects on a day to day basis, establishing the project structure, roles and teams; developing and maintaining plans; identifying and managing risks; and monitoring and reporting progress. You will work with key stakeholders to clarify project outputs, timescales, milestones, costs, quality criteria and target benefits; and provide leadership, guidance and coaching to the project team. You will be an experienced manager, and have strong communication and relationship management skills.

• Defining and agreeing project scope, outputs, timescales, milestones, costs, quality criteria and target benefits to ensure business requirements are understood and agreed
• Defining and establishing the project structure, roles and teams to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
• Planning, managing, monitoring and reporting on the work of project teams to deliver the outputs to the agreed timescales, costs, and quality criteria
• Ensuring adherence to the plan in progress, escalation of variance to the plan, re-planning to bring the project back on schedule
• Managing project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and benefits to enable the achievement of project objectives
• Management of the Project Steering Committee, and submitting timely reports on project progress using agreed templates to inform other governance committees and the Middle East Change Board
• Use of standard Company Project Management tools and templates
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enable the achievement of project objectives
• Assembling, managing, motivating and coaching project staff and teams to deliver agreed project and personal objectives
• Ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of their team
• Ensuring effective team development

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications & Experience:

• Relevant degree and certification
• 5 to 10 years of experience
• Experience of successfully delivering large scale transformation projects
• Project Management training and / or certifications
• Insurance industry experience preferred but not prerequisite
