A leading architectural firm based in Dubai is looking to hire a “Senior Electrical Design Engineer” with the below responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Design of all electrical works related to infra-structure low & high voltage networks.
• As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be expected to have a full knowledge and expertise in lighting, power, fire alarm system, voltage drop and short circuit current calculations, drawing production and report writing
• Candidates shall have full knowledge of BS, DEWA, NFPA, DCD, etc. and submission preparations to local authorities
• Experience as a Senior Engineer for Street Lighting Network, electrical Low Voltage/High Voltage distribution network, Landscape, Lighting Network and Building design
• To manage and coordinate the efficient production of documentation on multiple projects, simultaneously
• Take a lead role to design projects from concept phase through construction documents
• Preparing technical specifications
• Regularly attend Client and authorities meetings
• Coordinate with Architects, Interior Designers, Structural Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Specialty Lighting Consultants, Landscape Designers, etc.
• The candidate must be able to work well independently and to manage a team of electrical engineers and electrical Revit operators to successfully deliver projects on time and in budget
• The candidate must be detail oriented and well organized with effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Design functional electrical systems through the development and testing of components.
• Undertake lighting design from concept through detailed design phase.
• Ensure that all designs are prepared in accordance with the latest local and international standards and must be able to coordinate all the activities required for obtaining approvals.
• Produce designs and verify the drawings to ensure timely submission for NOC approvals from the Authorities and Clients.
• Design Electrical network schemes from source to luminaries including distribution substations, Lighting Feeder Pillars/Mini Feeder Pillars, control cabinets, etc.
• Experience in general roadway, Interchange lighting and bridge tunnel and underpass lighting design. Should also have hands on construction supervision experience.
