JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client an international multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy requires a Senior Fire & Life Safety Engineer to be based in their thriving Dubai office.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to play a office play a key role in the delivery of fire safety engineering design services across a variety of sectors including healthcare, education, retail, commercial and tall buildings throughout the GCC.
Key responsibilities will include;
• Producing feasibility Studies for master-planning and concept design stages
• Attending and participating in multi-disciplined Design Team Meetings
• Developing Fire Safety Strategies to ensure early approval from authorities
• Producing advanced Fire Safety Design to demonstrate fire safety engineering compliance
• Production of Fire Strategy Drawings for detailed design
• Provide expert advice and support during the Statutory Approval and construction process.
• Produce Evacuation Strategies
• Produce Smoke Management Plans
• Employ relevant modeling software
• Engage in Fire Risk Management and Assessment
• Producing Fire Investigation Studies
REQUIREMENTS
To apply for the role you should meet most of the following criteria;
• Be educated to degree level in Fire Safety Engineer or related Discipline
• Have a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in Fire Safety Engineering Design with a Engineering Consultancy or Specialist Fire Consultancy
• Have experience of working to British Standard, NFPA, IBC, IFC Standards
• Have experience in using relevant modeling software
