JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Plan, coordinate and conduct hydrographic, surveys, including supervision of team members as required.
Produce the associated survey data required to provide information to project operations and support commercial development
Primary Objectives
• Lead and manage marine and waterway surveys;
• Manage positioning of undergoing offshore construction;
• Provide technical expertise and problem solving for hydrographic requirement such as planning, site operations, designing etc.
• Training and guidance to Junior Surveyors.
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
• Degree: University degree or equivalent in Surveying/Geomatics
• Previous experience working as a Project Surveyor on hydrographic surveys and/or charting surveys linked to construction work
• Knowledge of industry standard HSSE procedures is essential.
• Good working knowledge of Multibeam Bathymetric survey system.
• Offshore industry and marine experience preferably in the UAE.
Role Requirements:
• Communication; Proficient and clear skills written and verbal English.
• Software: Teledyne PDS 2000, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Terramodel, Hypack/Hysweep, Trimble HydroPro.
• Technical Skills: Multibeam Bathymetric Survey, Excavator Positioning System, 3D Modelling, Data Processing, Quantity Calculation
