Currie & Brown is currently looking for a senior project manager for a heritage project in Al Ain, UAE

The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

- We are looking for a "Field Application Engineer (FAE)" to be based in our Head Offices, Dubai-UAE.
- Reporting to our Senior FAE Team Leader, this role involves the following technical categories:
- Pre-Sales / assisting Sales Team to identify optimal BoQ and convincing customers technically
- After-Sales / troubleshooting and solving issues for our customers installed base
- Services / Design, Configuration, FAT/SAT, Basic Installation, Training, etc.
- Some of the main tasks and responsibilities are:
- Provide pre and post-sales technical support for the complete product and solutions Industrial communication portfolio.
- Identify and gather customer requirements, develop and propose system designs (high and low level as required), aiming to assist the customer with a highly reliable system and lower cost possible, yet ensuring maximum sales for the company.
- Provide technical product presentation for functionality as well as conduct customer workshops and training as and when required
- Become the Subject Matter Expert for the company's products and solutions
- Assist the Sales team as and when needed with Bid/Tender documents and proposals, from early stage design, budget phase, proposal and also negotiation and clarifications.
- Participate in network planning with customers to provide guidance on applications, usage, integration and best practices
- OnSite work as and when required by the company, to assist customers with commissioning, network optimization, troubleshooting, upgrading firmware, replacing defective devices, and other similar tasks.
- Use telephone and remote isolation, diagnostic and resolution tools, documents and capabilities to resolve complex integrated end user implementation, configuration, and operational issues in a timely manner. Solutions will often include 3rd party products/solutions and onsite support.
- Active contribution with Marketing and Sales teams to produce new and high quality Case Studies, Applications Notes, White Papers, News Letters and other collateral material.
- Manage RMA process (reception, processing, return of faulty and repaired/replaced products, as and when needed).
- Planning the delivery of the project at hand
- Managing day-to-day working, utilization, implementation and technical consultants engaged on client assignments
- Reporting progress on projects to sector management; maintaining and updating project reporting, checkpoints and financial reporting to a high standard
- Planning and arranging visits to existing and new potential clients, ensuring that every client receives sufficient support to enhance their relationship
- Developing contacts with senior staff, directors, and other influential staff within each account during the implementation phase
- Producing reports on each project at agreed intervals, and whenever substantive actions are required

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

- BSc in civil or architectural engineering
- A minimum of 15 years’ technical delivery experience gained within a global engineering consultancy
- Experience of working on heritage or hospitality projects in the UAE or Middle East
- Post-contract experience
- Accredited to a relevant professional body, ie PMP
- Good commercial and project management awareness, technical writing, client-facing and communication skills (both internal and external)
- Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
- A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
