JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To manage, plan and control EGA and its subsidiaries’ liquidity and the use of funding & to maximise investment earnings and minimise financial risk in line with established policies, procedures and departmental objectives.

Duties:
- Manages dealings and related transactions in foreign currency exposures in purchases and sales, fixing of interest rates, which includes forward rate agreements, interest rate swaps and options
- Monitors continuously interest and exchange rate trends and forecasts, and recommends appropriate strategies to minimise EGA and subsidiaries’ financial risk exposure
- Assesses banks and their services by conducting benchmarking studies on all EGA and subsidiaries banks
- Prepares short term to medium term cash flow forecasts (60, 90, & 90+ days) based on which fund planning is prepared
- Ensures existing working capital facilities are renewed on a timely basis and new facilities are negotiated with banks to meet short term obligations
- Manages relationships with forecast data providers to ensure they meet minimum standards for accuracy and timeliness (Operations, projects, banks, business evaluation and commercial teams and shareholders)
- Supports managerial decision-making by providing timely and relevant data, analysis and forecasts as required
- Ensures system support for cash forecast is kept up to date and continuously improved
- Coordinates with Cash Management to place EGA Group surplus funds in short and medium-term deposits to ensure obtaining the optimum balance between security diversity and yield
- Ensures the maintenance of adequate levels of cash for EGA Group to meet near term financial obligations
- Maintains good communication with bank Treasury departments and manages the relationship by measuring and rating their performance
- Ensures proper documentation to secure EGA Group right and responsibilities under Non-Disclosure agreements and ISDA master agreements / schedules
- Undertakes effective negotiation initiatives relating to all bank products and services to achieve optimum benefits and services for EGA and its subsidiaries
- Manages the operations of the EGA dealing room
- Ensures dealings made on behalf of EGA Group are in compliance with approved hedging strategies and within the limits allowed
- Manages distribution of EGA Group transactions (foreign currency purchases and interest rates) to all dealing banks to maintain relationships without compromising the competitiveness
- Provides various reports related to Treasury Operations (standalone/consolidated) such as weekly flash report, cash flow forecast and other ADHOC reports that are useful for senior management’s decision making
- Coordinates the preparation of the annual budget for interest payment and income
- Oversees the provision of in depth market data analysis, LME stock monitoring and sales pricing services for the Aluminium market in order to support achievement of optimum profitability for EGA operations
- Ensures that all relevant and critical management information is addressed to treasury senior management in an effective and efficient manner
- Manages customer portal with up to date LME pricing information and exchange rates
- Provides support to Marketing in evaluating customer’s price request

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting from a recognised university
- Recognised Treasury or Accounting qualification (CertITM from ACT, FRM)
- Minimum of 5 years's experience in Treasury
- Good Analytical skills & excellent relationships dealing with banks
- Strong Personality, decision making & persuasions skills
