JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
This opportunity is with a Development company based in Dubai.
As a Sr. Internal Auditor, you will be responsible in developing new projects as well as managing the existing real estate properties in the UAE, and ensure the organization’s governance, risk management and management controls, including safeguarding of assets and the reliability of financial and management reporting in compliance with laws and regulations.
You will also assist in the development of detailed audit work papers incorporating test schedules to ensure that the audit objectives are met. Completion of audit, including steps/tests assigned to self within agreed time budgets. Keeping the in-charge / Manager informed of progress for any project time extension. Good understanding of audit and audit reporting best practice in the UAE Construction industry.
REQUIREMENTS
In addition, you should be able to ensure compliance with the Internal Audit Departmental standards and policies and procedures and quality assurance program. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Assess, where applicable, compliance with the International Accounting Standards (IAS), regulatory requirements, company policies & procedures. Contribute to the identification of key risks and controls during each audit project and evaluate and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of the entity internal controls.
To be successful you would ideally possess 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in internal and/or external audit, with a good level in English language having a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or equivalent from an accredited and renowned University. Professional Certification preferred (CA, CPA, CIA, CFE or CISA) Arabic Speaker preferred.
