DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide the design and engineering input to site staff to facilitate smooth construction and oversee the civil construction and building services installation works periodically on sites against agreed programs
- Understand overall scope of work especially detailed scope of work pertaining to civil and building services
- Assist head of civil works in coordination with engineering department during substation layout process to freeze the building services and external services corridor
- Finalize the master list of civil and building services drawings with designers / subcontractors/client
- Collect the civil and building services design input information, drawings, loading data from electrical design section and forward to civil and building services designers / subcontractors
- Review the conceptual drawings with electrical, civil and building services designer/ subcontractor for proper coordination to avoid clashes during construction stage
- Arrange Red-Marked drawings from site and As-Built drawings from designer/sub-contractor
- Participate in the selection process for nominations of the civil works subcontractors
- Arrange the soil investigation and report for design
- Review the material submittal in line with specifications before submitting to O/E for approval
- Liaise with O/E for timely approval of material submittal.
- Conduct site meetings with civil site manager and subcontractor(s) to review the construction methods to expedite the progress.
- Provide design of minor structure like lighting pole foundation, manhole, cable trough, and cable support structure.
