Objective:
- Accelerate delivery of high quality, consistent, accurate, real-time financial data across the Careem footprint, and optimize business processes to minimize leakage
- Lead the quality standards for financial reporting of the shared economy in the region, shaping accounting and tax policy with respect to an eventual public listing
- Scale high quality operational systems to minimize leakage, improve accuracy and accelerate delivery of insights

Responsibilities:
- Team: Work closely with the group financial controller to attract and motivate a world-class team of accounting and tax professionals
- Develop high quality technical policy, specifications and documentation of all Careem accounting policies including GL, AR, and AP
- Drive adoption of standardized accounting practice across all locations
- Lead regulatory reporting and tax policy creation to establish an optimal base of documentation and compliance for a public listing on global markets
- Strengthen business processes to monitor, maintain and enhance internal controls of financial data and reporting across our footprint
- Publish high quality, accurate and speedy financial reports in real time (currently monthly) across the business
- Lead treasury and cash management yield and risk management strategy and execution
