We are currently representing an international company and are aiding them in their recruitment of a Managing Director to oversee their vegetable operations in Eastern Africa. As Managing Director, you would be tasked to manage all vegetable operations in Eastern Africa, along with a senior management team to support you. It would be your responsibility to make sure that all production targets are met and that the entire operation in Eastern Africa remains profitable and up to the specifications put forward by international certification agencies.

As the new Managing Director, you would be responsible for:
Overseeing all the vegetable operations in Eastern Africa, ensuring their profitability and long-term sustainability.
Liaising with international certification agencies, such as Fair Trade, GlobalGAP etc.,
Managing a senior management team, consisting of general managers, CFOs, Area Managers and Country Directors.
Reporting on a weekly basis to the European headquarters and providing expansive reports on the operations stability and forecasts every month and year.

The ideal candidate would have a background consisting of:
At least 5 years of relevant working experience as general manager or higher.
Educated up to a degree level in Agronomy or similar.
A proven background on the financial side of operations.
A history of successes in a field of vegetables, agriculture or estate management.
