Business Governance Manager - Strategy & Transformation - Kuwait

Role Profile:

- The Business Governance Manager will lead the Business Governance function to ensure governance and efficiency in the use of various Phoenix solutions
- This role will also oversee all the management and execution of administrative tasks for the solutions coming out from Phoenix projects
- The Business Governance Manager will be accountable to continuously seek opportunities and provide advice to the business for improvements.

Below are the responsibilities of a Business Governance Manager but not limited to:

- Provide managerial support to the Business Governance Specialists in governing and controlling the way the solution is being used through cross referencing with system setting and business process to avoid/minimise any form of singularity of "way-of-working" across difference brands
- Provide managerial support to the Business Governance Specialists in working with the brand to ensure that a data and information on products are maintained according to the standards set for Alshaya
- Overseeing and managing all Business Governance tasks in buying and merchandising facing solutions performed by Business Governance Specialist
- Keeping up to date on current buying and merchandising processes and ways of working and accountable to ensure that the Business Governance Specialists are updated with the latest training
- Oversee and review the execution and maintenance of system attributes and creation of rules to help the brand use Phoenix solutions as intended
- Lead, provide input and review requests from the brands for solution enhancement
- Provide consultative insights and recommendations to the brand on functionality and improvements to further support the brand improve their way of working
- Become the overall point of escalation for the Business Governance Specialist for any issues faced by the business related to Phoenix solutions
- Overseeing the governance of system attributes and creation of rules to help the brand use Phoenix solutions as intended
- Seek opportunities for process/system improvements and/or to cluster, centralize or de-centralize activities for the purpose of business improvements for Alshaya
- Accountable for the performance of weekly and daily data validation to ensure standardisation and quality of data flows across various function in Alshaya.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification and Experience:

- Relevant bachelor's degree, with retail experience is crucial
- Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant managerial / leadership role
- Minimum 2 years at Senior Merchandiser or Senior Buyer level and/or comparable role to Business Governance Specialist.

Skills and Competencies

- Proven skills to lead a team
- Ability to collaborate, engage and partner with internal stakeholders by building effective relationships,
- Strong communication and presentation skills (including good written and verbal English)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; strong aptitude with numbers; retail math skills, understanding of forecasting methodology
- Customer Service driven with strong commercial awareness
