JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Summary of Role:
• Support the planning, implementation, and migration to the new core banking system (CBS) leveraging experience and expertise
• Oversee and own the implementation of configuration and parameter setting/fine-tuning to improve the overall Core banking system performance
• Support in the analysis and assessment of business needs and requirements to be implemented in the new core banking system
• Aid the process for technical training to guide subordinates in the execution of their roles as per the target-state design

Responsibilities:
• Owns CBS team contribution for target state design in collaboration with Enterprise architecture team Manage the Core Banking system and interdependent interfaces
• Manage CBS data cleansing and migration activities
• Configuration, patches, and ongoing update and management of the Core Banking system
• Manage and support integration of the Core Banking system with other interconnected applications
• Document any necessary procedure related to Core Banking application for reference
• Anticipate Core Banking application problems and implement preventive measures to mitigate the risks
• Investigate and install enhancements and operating procedures that optimize Core Banking application availability and performance
• Owns CBS team contribution to periodical assessment of existing CBS in collaboration with enterprise architects to identify improvement opportunities
• Supports in development of management information reports and dashboard using existing tooling
• Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) with application service providers related to Core Banking Systems
• Actively manage timely resolution of outstanding defects or issues impacting the business
• Support preparation of presentations and strategy documentation for CBS

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications and Skills:
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Core Banking support & configuration management Excellent understanding of core banking related business processes
• Advanced knowledge of core banking technologies, and willingness to learn new software systems, platforms and other developments in the field
• Working knowledge and experience of web-service/API, XML files, PL/SQL
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other relevant degree from a recognized University
