JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Work in Kuwait is contingent upon the applicant's ability to obtain a work permit from the State of Kuwait, which is requested on the applicant's behalf by their employer. Effective January 1, 2021, the Kuwait Public Authority of Manpower issued new work permit regulations, informing contractors that it will not issue a work permit to any individual who is fifty-nine (59) years or older and holds a high school grade certificate or less. A two-year college degree or higher is required for all candidates fifty-nine (59) years or older. See Administrative Decision No. (520) of 2020 AD - Amendment to the Administrative Decision No. (552) of 2018 on Issuing the Work Permit Regulations.

Purpose:

This position is responsible for all maintenance production operations under this effort. Provides leadership, guidance and maintenance management for proper Theater Field and Sustainment level maintenance utilizing The Army Maintenance Management Systems (TAMMS) and GCSS-Army to ensure Army Prepositioned Equipment is TM-10/20 and Theater Sustainment Stocks are Fully Mission Capable (FMC).

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reports to and supports the APS-5 Project Manager for APS-5 maintenance posture.
- Serves as the principle adviser to the APS-5 Program Manager for all APS-5 maintenance operations; develops maintenance plans, policy, and programs in support of APS-5 maintenance restructure.
- Responsible for COSIS, De-COSIS, Issue, and RESET maintenance for APS-5 Armored Brigade Combat Team (ABCT) equipment Set, Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT) equipment set, and Kuwait Sustainment Brigade (KSB) equipment set are maintained to TM 10/20 Standard.
- Responsible for Theater Sustainment Stocks (TSS) Track Group, Wheel Group, and Ancillary Groups to FMC standard.
- Conduct Maintenance Readiness reviews and briefs customer of equipment status, set conditions and attain 95% Operational Readiness Rate for APS/TSS IAW AR 220-1 and AR 700-138.
- Ensure proper Production Control systems processes support maintenance Work Bench operations.
- Ensures PMCS, Annual Services, and COSIS services are conducted to standard and on time in accordance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) and applicable technical manuals.
- Responsible for overall problem resolution, planning, and execution of forward functions pertaining to maintenance.
- Create a safety first work ethic within the work force and ensure observance of safety rules are being followed, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
- Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions.
- Perform all other position related duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education:
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics Management related field preferred.
- Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) preferred.

Experience:
- Minimum 10 years maintenance supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Former Maintenance Warrant Officer preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the Logistics STAMIS in use and must have the ability to properly monitor production for compliance with scheduling directives, cost factors, and other applicable standards.
- Must be able to properly develop appropriate performance standards, track maintenance production, and ensure facilities operate in a safe and efficient manner.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Appropriate verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, and prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.
- Must have thorough knowledge of Army technical publications related to Maintenance Management.
- Must have thorough knowledge of Army technical publications related to Maintenance Management.

Certification & License:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Secret clearance required.
- Must be U.S. Citizen.

Active Clearance is required : Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance.

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Tier 3 Secret clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
- Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
