JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

As a Market Research Consultant for Strategy and Business Development, you will provide information about markets, industry, customers and competitors that will support investment decisions.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Conducting market research in new and emerging retail brands in specified sectors to evaluate customer needs, market trends in consumer behaviour, retail brands, etc.
* Conducting industry (PEST) and competitor analysis (SWOT) to identify potential business opportunities
* Providing recommendations for management review on future business opportunities in the market
* Monitoring and maintaining information on market trends, pricing, etc.
* Researching, analysing and documenting competitive market news
* Developing and maintaining the mechanism for continuous updates to track competitors' activities in terms of market entries, marketing campaigns, major deal wins, development of new products and services, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree in Marketing / Statistics or Economics (MBA is desirable)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a market research and analysis capacity
* Strong understanding of research methodologies
* Excellent presentation skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Excellent knowledge of working with analytical tools and applications
* Excellent organisation and time management skills.
