WSP is seeking to appoint a Power Economist and Regulatory Advisor whom will be responsible in tariff setting, financial/economic evaluation of power project, power system financial modules economic/financial dispatching management.

* WSP provides consultancy services to major clients in the Middle East and has gained a reputation as being a market leader in many of these services.
* We therefore require a high performing individual to join the Power team and support our internal teams and external clients
* Being part of a successful delivery team will maintain our positive commercial revenues.

Your new role, what's involved?
* Experienced in tariff setting, financial/economic evaluation of power project, power system financial modules economic/financial dispatching management, power purchase agreements and trade coordination
* Monitor and assess national authorities on policy and regulatory developments having a strategic or a commercial impact on the power business in Kuwait.
* Develop mid- and long-term power policy and regulatory advocacy strategies to allow successful business outcomes.
* Determine essential policies and regulatory positions and proactively create actions to shape the policy and regulatory landscape in the power industry.
* Represent the business internally and externally as appropriate
* Transfer my knowledge and expertise by carrying out appropriate trainings to WSP and the client's Engineers
* Actively engage in key client relationships;
* Work collaboratively with Team Leaders and Project Managers to obtain regular feedback from clients on our performance, and look to cross-sell the wider business.

REQUIREMENTS

We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Masters or Doctorate Degree will be viewed as an advantage.
* 15 years work experience of which a minimum of 10 years in tariff setting, financial/economic evaluation of power projects, power system financial modules economic / financial dispatching management, power purchase / sale agreements and power trade coordination.
* Preferably an Experienced Interconnected system regulation.
* Preferably having an experience in Trainings.
