WSP is seeking to appoint a Power System Expert whom will be responsible in planning, operation, maintenance, design, and studies for power system projects in Kuwait.
* WSP provide consultancy services to major clients in the Middle East and have gained a reputation as being a market leader in many of these services.
* We therefore require a high performing individual to join the Power team and support our internal teams and external clients
* Being part of a successful delivery team will maintain our positive commercial revenues.
Your new role, what's involved?
* Experienced in design, planning, realization, and operation of power system and network systems.
* Lead the continuous development of enhanced power system planning & studies processes, methodologies and tools for quality and efficiencies.
* Perform, coordinate, or review planning/system performance studies and transient studies for compliance with prevailing standards and criteria and good engineering practice.
* Represent the business internally and externally as appropriate
* Transfer my knowledge and expertise by carrying out appropriate trainings to WSP as well as the client's Engineers
* Actively engage in key client relationships;
* Work collaboratively with Team Leaders and Project Managers to obtain regular feedback from clients on our performance, and look to cross-sell the wider business.
REQUIREMENTS
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. Masters and Doctorate degree shall be viewed favorably.
* 20 years of experience out of which 10 years in power systems engineering including studies using software like PSS/E and other similar etc..,
* Design, Planning, Realization and Operation of the Power System and Network Studies
* Thorough knowledge of operational criteria under normal and abnormal system conditions and in particular interconnection transactions and contracts management.
* Experienced in using Spectrum Online software system for Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Energy Management System comprising of Network Analysis, Generation Control and Scheduling, Expert system and Dispatcher Training Simulation applications.
* Preferably having an experience in Trainings
