JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Man to join our hospitality team in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining pressing equipment to ensure linens, uniforms, and other fabric items are impeccably pressed, presenting a polished appearance for our guests and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Operate pressing machines and equipment safely and efficiently to press linens, uniforms, and other fabric items.
- Inspect and prepare fabric materials prior to pressing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pressing area and equipment.
- Identify fabric types and use appropriate pressing techniques and temperatures to prevent damage.
- Coordinate with housekeeping and laundry departments to manage pressing schedules and prioritize urgent needs.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on pressing equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Press Man or in a similar role within the hospitality or laundry industry is preferred.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality pressing results.
- Familiarity with different fabric types and appropriate pressing methods.
- Ability to operate pressing machinery safely and follow standard operating procedures.
- Good organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively to meet pressing deadlines.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle fabrics and equipment.
- Basic maintenance skills and willingness to learn equipment troubleshooting.
- Team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
