JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Responsible for managing a retail staff, direct and coordinate company sales, sets up displays.
People Management
- Manage retail staff, including cashiers and people working on the floor.
- Coach, counsel, recruit, train, and discipline employees
- Organize and distribute staff schedules.
- Preside over staff meetings.
In Store Management
- Work on store displays.
- Ensure merchandise is clean and ready to be displayed.
- Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company's standards.
- Ensure pricing is correct.
- Identify current and future trends that appeal to consumers.
- Maintain inventory and ensure items are in stock.
Marketing & Customer Service
- Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
- Monitor local competitors.
- Handle customer questions, complaints, and issues.
- Keep up with fluctuating supply and demand.
- Able to do market research to find out the trend of consumer demand and customer needs.
- Getting new customers.
- Maintaining good relations with existing customers.
- Take a trip or meet potential customers.
- Record and maintain customer data.
Sales
- Ensure achievement of sales targets and inventory turnover.
- Help retail sales staff achieve sales targets.
- Encourage teams in selling enterprise products.
- Perform analysis on sales activity and cost analysis.
- Analyze operating and financial statements for profitability ratios.
- Utilize information technology to record sales figures, for data analysis and forward planning.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or any other related field
- Experience 3 - 5 years in similar field.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Planning and organizing.
- Problem-solving.
- Decision-making.
- Delegating, motivating, influencing, and communicating.
- Strong sales skills and ability to guide a team.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills in English/ Arabic.
- Pro-active and fast learner and able to work under pressure.
- Must have a local Driving License and transferable residency.
- Local market knowledge will be a big asset.
ADDITIONAL
- FMCG background.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Work may require occasional weekend and/ or evening work.
