JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Waitress to join our team at a vibrant restaurant in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional service, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As a Waitress, you will be the face of our restaurant, delivering an unforgettable dining experience to our guests while ensuring their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are captured.
- Serve food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, checking in with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle payment transactions and process bills accurately, following all cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation and delivery.
- Assist in training new waitstaff as needed, sharing best practices and service standards.
- Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and effectively, striving to exceed guest expectations.
- Stay informed about menu changes, specials, and promotions to provide guests with up-to-date information.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a waitress or in a similar customer service role is preferred.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues.
- Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is a plus.
- A passion for the hospitality industry and a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
