UI/UX Associate Manager for an International Consulting Firm

Plan, schedule, allocate resources, successfully coordinate/develop/edit/deliver high quality UX/UI projects, based on client brief, brand guidelines, quality and creative standards, within pre-set scope, deadline and budget. Walk staff through the briefing process, understand clients’ needs, conduct user and market research, propose innovative data visualization solutions, create wireframes, design visual interfaces, and develop prototypes that contribute to the production of highly engaging and intuitive user experiences, products and services. Collaborate with internal staff and external vendors, to ensure high-end VCS offerings.

Responsibilities:
• Engage in briefing sessions with visuals department and client teams to better understand the client/end user needs, and chair brainstorming sessions to offer clear-cut solutions to clients problems
• Conceptualize and design high quality projects for internal and external clients
• Identify and introduce innovative UX/UI solutions to the projects, in line with the latest market trends and brand guidelines
• Conduct user and market research and benchmarking, create wireframes, personas and visual interfaces, develop user journeys and custom prototypes that optimize the users experience and interaction across mobile, desktop and web technologies
• Coordinate and interface with developers, external vendors and 3rd party mobile and web app developers, conduct briefing sessions to translate prototypes into interactive end products, and ensure the design requirements are met
• Understand how digital technologies are evolving and articulate implications on the user experience, products and services, across businesses and industries
• Understand and analyze client needs in line with business objectives and translate them to user centric services (e.g., mobile apps creation, user journeys, clients’ projects, publications, marketing collaterals)
• Manage day-to-day interactions and communicate effectively with staff to identify their needs, set and manage their expectations and propose viable solutions
• Liaise with Head of visual department and team leaders to plan UX/UI daily tasks and strategic projects, and ensure alignment on projects briefs, timelines, and resources allocation
• Handle client communication and scheduling under own specialty, create and maintain a well communicated schedule for all phases of a project considering strategic importance, resources availability, and deadlines
• Responsible for sign off on all UX/UI deliverables; and accountable for quality assurance of projects prior to delivery whether processed by internal resources or external vendors including but not limited to development, proofreading, and brand guidelines compliance
• Support in products testing prior to launch, validate and finalize testing with other experts on the job
• Understand the Visuals department pricing model, discuss and agree on projects’ timeline with department and client teams, accurately communicate projects’ time estimation and cost to client, and ensure timely charges reporting
• Track UX/UI tasks and sheets, and submit timely reports and progress updates to Head of visuals.
• Determine skills set, roles of team members and external vendors assigned to projects based on projects’ requirements
• Collaborate with internal resources, developers, project teams, and external vendors when need be, to refine product design during development cycles
• Build VCS staff skillset, train them on the job, monitor their progress, review their projects, deliver timely and constructive feedback, and ensure the resources advancement within the UX/UI specialty
• Maintain a strong network of external vendors, monitor their deliverables, deliver feedback, and develop their output in line with business strategy and market needs
• Initiate/maintain regular contact with global teams, undertake required action to keep templates and brand assets up-to-date
• Interface with senior staff to guide them through the briefing process, understand their requirements, propose viable solutions to their projects, and ensure their strategy is reflected in the final product
• Discuss client and team satisfaction, projects quality and success metrics during scheduled and ad hoc project review meetings with the Head of Visuals and team
• Develop and maintain a library of user experience products/services, and liaise with Head of Visuals and team leaders on any final output to update the Visuals portfolio and archive

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Concentration on Human-Computer Interaction, Expert UX/UI Design Certification or master’s in digital media are a plus
• 5+ years of experience on end-to-end user centric and creative design with exposure to web and mobile application prototyping and development
• An expert hands-on knowledge for creating a powerful UX/UI in IOS/Android mobile apps and websites
• Ability to illustrate and present design options using process flows, prototypes, and sitemaps along with thorough research and analysis
• Proficiency with rapid prototyping and visualization tools such as Figma, Sketch, Invision, Adobe CC, and UXPin Muse, Fireworks). HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
• Good knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
• Good knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools is a plus e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx
• Ability to understand client requirements and to design complete user experiences that meet the clients vision
• Solid grasp of user-centered design, planning and conducting both quantitative and qualitative user research at all stages of design, user testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility testing
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic
