Construction Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

My client is a leading international contractor with a world wide excellent reputation and a track record of working on some of the most high profile EPC and marine projects. They are currently working on a mega marine project in Laayoune, Morocco and are looking to recruit an experienced construction manager with specialty knowledge of caisson construction. The role will include

• Plan and coordinate all the construction activities to achieve the construction requirements, so to ensure the project will be completed to a high quality, according to schedule, budget and HSE standards.
• Develop Construction Execution Plans, including constructability programs
• Coordinate the sub-contractors’ activities
• Set HSE requirements and ensure their implementation
• Liaise with engineering, procurement, logistics, project management and the various construction facilities with a view to supporting and optimizing the overall site construction effort
• Able to develop three (3) months lookahead schedules and report progress
• Develop presentations to management

Requirements:

• Candidates should have a degree in engineering or construction and should have proven experience working as a construction manager on large marine projects.
• Candidates must have experience of jetty and trestle construction and experience of caisson installation is a must. Candidates should have experience of working in the Atlantic ocean.
