JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre’s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Health & Safety professionals of all levels to join them on a Data Centre project in Amsterdam.
You Will Be Responsible For:
• Monitor and enforce compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, company policies, and project-specific requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure control measures are implemented and maintained.
• Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture among all personnel and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe practices, preparing detailed reports and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
• Work closely with the construction and project management teams to proactively address safety issues and support safe planning of high-risk activities.
• Maintain and update HSE documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and safety plans, ensuring accessibility and compliance.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as clients, regulatory bodies, and auditors to ensure transparency and alignment with safety expectations.
• Track and report HSE performance metrics, contributing to internal reporting, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
You will need:• To have relevant third level Certificate qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
• Over 5 years’ experience in environmental, health and safety on large construction sites with Tier 1 contractors.
• NEBOSH certificate level qualification.
• Thorough knowledge of current environmental, health and safety legislation.
• Data Centre Experience is desirable.
• An EU passport may be required for this role.
