JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

Core Responsibilities:
• Taking responsibility for the planning and execution of financial duties related to the branch including Distribution and retail businesses.
• Preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the business to ensure financial stability.
• Drafting budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports required by regulatory authorities.
• Managing the risks involved in the financial activities of the business.
• Receivable management and customer interactions.
• Analysis of various financial data. (Margin analysis, Store profitability, expense control, Rentals, and key accounting ratios)
• Compiling financial reports and supervising month-end processes.
• Managing and monitoring metrics, KPI tracking, and reports for the financial department.
• Evaluate the financial performance of the organization.
• Providing training to staff members regarding financial processes.
• Inventory management – inventory aging, liquidations, stock counts (warehouse and store)

REQUIREMENTS

Qualification & Experience:
• Min 5-7 years' experience in the same industry (Distribution & Retail)
• Qualified Graduate or Postgraduate
• Knowledge about the prevailing Tax laws in Oman (VAT and Income Tax). Tax Assessments, VAT Returns, etc.
• Command over ERP & MS Office is essential. (Preference Microsoft 365 accounting software, advanced knowledge in MS Excel for various analyses)
