Key Accountability:
- Directly accountable for day-to-day activities for the project construction phase.
- Responsible for the daily check on C&A construction activities and to report to the project team for the construction progress of C&A activities promptly, highlighting issues which could impact on quality, cost, project delivery schedule, and HSE risks matters.
- Conduct periodic HSE inspections and highlight for any corrective actions and improvements.
- Monitoring, control and verification of C&A construction cost estimates submitted by the contractor to ensure the activities completed by the contractor are in line with contract scheduled rates.
- Managing change control and variance register of all C&A project construction activities.
- Responsible to ensure that the C&A projects are executed in line with company and international standards.
- Supervise C&A projects construction activities to ensure the project schedules are maintained at site. This includes the instrumentation and telecom works for oil wells, gas wells, water disposal wells, MSVs, OHL works, and other O&M support work.
- Ensure all punch lists are closed to company satisfaction.
- Attending system and equipment tests, protection tests and site commissioning.
- Review the C&A drawings, documents and making proposals for new C&A connections or upgrade the existing system.
- Manage and supervise all instrumentation construction activities, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensure works are in line with delivery schedule, contract specifications, and company requirements.
- Maintain effective health and safety systems, including completion of risk assessments and method statements where appropriate.
- Follow up corrective actions and implement countermeasures to minimize reoccurrence of faults.
- Managing the C&A construction activities with proper resource planning to meet the project specified schedules.
- To keep up to date with new improved working methods that can add value by improving quality and reducing costs.
- Responsible and accountable to enforce and comply with company HSE and security policies, procedures, and provision of adequate resources.
- Responsible for coordinating and allocating of C&A construction supervisors to specific work areas and to cover the responsibilities of other supervisors as necessary.
- Ensuring the completion of all necessary reporting system completion for the C&A construction activities in all phases of the project.
- Responsible for ensuring the material availability for C&A construction activities by maintaining records and controlling stock.
- Ensuring the competency and skill of personnel involved in C&A construction activities and implement countermeasures to improve performance.
- Responsible and accountable to enforce and comply with company HSE and security policies, procedures, and provision of adequate resources.
- Ensure the public, staff, and contractors' safety by maintaining the functionality of the HSE management system and asset integrity of the company facilities.
- Ensuring contractor implementation and adherence to the company overall health, safety, security and environmental (HSSE) requirements.
- Ensure that hazard and environmental aspects and impacts are identified, and controls are established.
- Daily and weekly reporting: maintain records of daily activities progress and any issues that arise and updating the construction and HO project team with up-to-date information.
- Participate, evaluate, give input and propose solutions in all project challenges (e.g. safety, quality, cost and schedule).
- Review and comment on required construction documents such as method statements, procedures, engineering drawings as required.
- Support on checking material requisitions, as-built drawings for C&A discipline as required.
- Manage and oversee the execution of necessary shutdowns.
- Coordinate with other project disciplines and resolve interface issues with asset owners and other project teams.
- Attend site inspections as required.
- Create a harmonious relationship within the team and contractors.
- Other relevant duties as requested by the construction manager from time to time.
