JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Wood are actively seeking expressions of interest for lead process engineer role

To support future growth in our expanding Oman business.

Lead a team of senior and process engineers to carry out the process engineering FEED activities for a mega project and/or several medium projects in order to generate the relevant process engineering FEED deliverables on time according to DCAF requirements. Ensure design integrity and deliverables quality for all areas within a mega project with special emphasis on interfaces and continuous improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team work assignments, workload, and work forecasting for assigned projects.
  • Ensure team member accountability in the assigned project is clear and the team works well together.
  • Ensure team members in the assigned project learn from each other and from external sources.
  • Participate in/facilitate design reviews, HAZOPs, IPF classifications, 3D model review, plot plan, etc.
  • Implement/practice/monitor quality management system in assigned projects in line with ISO 9001-2015 and API Q2 2nd edition requirements.
  • Collaborate, build relationships, and manage interfaces with other FEED office disciplines, assets project teams, etc. in the assigned project.
  • Ensure seamless handover of process FEED deliverables to asset project and operations teams.
  • Ensure all team members in the assigned project write timely reports.
  • Ensure team CTRs and/or work commitments in the assigned project are well defined and delivered on time and within FEED contract value.
  • Team documents its work well and meets its document control deadlines in the assigned project.
  • Responsible for obtaining as-built information and providing solutions in the absence of as-built information.
  • Responsible for managing technical clarifications on scope and needs.
  • Responsible for coordination with the asset teams for the information.
  • Manage all technical changes internally and obtain approval from discipline leads (HOD).
  • Responsible for scope change confirmation (TIN).
  • Accountable for the decision making on changes.
  • Manage all assurance reviews and action close outs.
  • Accountable for raising, uploading, liaising, and technical variances.
  • Responsible for approving TPS final reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in process engineering.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Must have strong FEED, pre-FEED, and detailed design experience.
  • Experience in mega projects developments.
