HR Manager BHGE - Oman

Role Summary:
The HRM will provide HR support to managers and employees for BHGE in Iraq. This will include providing support on HR fundamentals, business HR operations support, coaching. This role is critical in executing our key HR initiatives, driving our BHGE cultural pillars, providing employee support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. The role will report to the HR Director of Gulf, East Africa and Turkey

Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with client group to understand their business processes and needs while managing expectations within the scope of existing business strategies
- Build and manage business cases to justify projects that fall within scope.
- Provide dedicated guidance and coaching to multiple managers and employees with specific focus on: employee advocacy/engagement, HR fundamentals and process training, employee relations management, performance development, career development, talent assessment, acquisition and retention and workplace investigations as appropriate.
- Partner with client managers to develop and embed a contemporary organizational culture and drive BHGE Cultural Pillars
- Provide employees and managers with an available first point of contact for questions and guidance on fundamental HR topics and issues; escalates concerns beyond their scope to GeoMarket HR Director
- Navigate employees and manager to HR Services when it is the more appropriate resource.
- Partner with Business Managers to execute business specific HR initiatives.
- Act as an organizational & simplification champion who builds organizational capabilities, reduces complexity and partners with clients to maximize team performance
- Lead succession planning and talent development strategies for the organization, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines mentoring, training, etc
- Ensure that all employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated and resolved.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application and integration of policies, procedures and practices at 100% compliance to promote an ethical and compliant work environment.
- Lead key HR processes including compensation planning and compliance.
- Conduct HR training and support for functional processes like PD, Salary Planning, New Employee Orientation and New Manager Assimilation.
- Assist with other HR special projects or initiatives as needed.
- Maintain and protect confidential data with utmost scrutiny, judgment, and care
- Drive Omanization and building pipeline of local Omani Talent

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum of 8 years professional work experience in the Human Resources with responsibilities such as recruiting, training, compensation, benefits, employee development or performance management.
- Outstanding communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization
- Able to energize and inspire others to commit to and take action on business priorities
- Ability to work with various stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of the application of local labor laws and government requirements
- Oil&Gas industry knowledge and work experience
- Working experience in Oman

Desired Characteristics:
- Advanced degree in Business, HR management or Industrial Relations (such as MBA, MHR/IR,etc.)
- Proven project management and team leadership experience
- An impact player with proven ability to drive change in an effective and participative manner
- Experience driving business solutions through influence and collaboration in a global, matrix organization
- Resourceful, innovative, persuasive
- Strong presentation skills
- PHR/SPHR certification
