IT Coordinator - Retail - IKEA

Employment: Full Time

Overview of the role

Manage all existing and new business applications to support the IKEA business strategy across all territories that fall under the Al-Futtaim Group.

Responsible for working with retail clients on ERP application engagements including new system implementations, upgrades, and/or extensions of existing applications. The ability to scope out work, manage/oversee other resources on projects, quality control, and testing.

With emphasis on implementing various service packs and hot fixes and various IT tools for the IKEA stores within the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and Oman with clearly defined business processes and working methods that are in line with the IKEA concept and Al-Futtaim Group's framework and guidelines.

What you will do

  • Responsible for managing and maintaining business applications and databases by performing required activities to improve the efficiency of system operations.
  • Close liaison with business users by being the primary point of contact for day-to-day support on IT operations, requests, and incidents across multiple stores/business units regionally.
  • Accountable for implementation and/or integration of digital and IT solutions across various channels (stores and online), in close coordination with the business solutions manager and IT project team.
  • Support the project team on market expansion projects in configuring and implementing digital and IT solutions across the new business units, as per project timelines.
  • Coordinate with IT infrastructure specialists on maintenance of systems and resolution of infrastructure issues.

  • Good practical experience managing databases (SQL, Oracle), system security, retail POS systems, and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with an eye for detail and critical thinking ability.

What equips you for the role

  • 5+ years' experience working as an IT analyst in the retail industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Sound technical and functional knowledge of ERP solutions such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV/BC, D365, CRM365.
