JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

- Provide hands-on network security technical expertise to the commissioning lead
- Collaborate with network, wireless , voice , servers and application architects/engineers to provide network security policy and configuration for network environments and complying with project requirements
- Build the security profile and categorized security leaves (threat profile) for each network resource
- Responsible for standardizing and implementing security configuration on various security device within the project
- Responsible for identifying and reporting potential network security threats and driving mitigations
- Responsible for detailed documentation of security network architecture/network for operational use and security reports for management
- Responsible for on job training to operations team and other engineers.
- Responsible for configure/implement network security devices within project Network environment.
- Ensure correct port mirroring, configuration, coverage and utilization of intrusion detection solution, switches, firewalls and any other security device
- Assist with incident response, researching events of interest, provide analysis of firewall, IDS, anti-virus and other network sensor produced events; documenting findings
- Responsible for all activities from installation to successful commissioning of service.
- Review operational logs and event console activity to identify potential security-related events and to determine root cause of identified network security-related events.
- Designing network system access reports to identify possible security violations.
- Research, evaluate, design, test, recommend, and plan implementation of network security software or devices:
- Understand business requirements and risks to the appropriate technology implementation for network security.
- Perform testing for all the security device as per project life cycle

REQUIREMENTS

- Minimum 5 years experience in network security domain with cisco security product on large scale enterprise or service provider network
- Experience in reviewing the requirement and addressing the same through commercial and technical solutions
- Hands on experience and proficiency in configuring ASA, FWSM, IPS, IES, ACS and SIMS product
- Overall understanding of IT security operation in enterprise or service provider network
- Good technical understanding of cisco network and security management product
- Should be skilled in objection handling.
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (e.g. Kerberos, SSH);
- Ability to work in a teams and maintain team spirit and harmonious working relationships between team members and to accomplish assigned tasks;
- Ability to handle multiple mission critical tasks/projects simultaneously;
- Strong understanding of security issues, problems, utilities, techniques and solutions;
- Understanding of encryption standards and protocols (e.g. public-key, RSA, PGP, and PEM);
- Strong oral and written communication;
- Strong documentation and interpersonal skills;
- Strong commitment to customer service.
- Ability to relate business requirements and risks to the appropriate technology implementation for network security.
- Knowledge of risk assessment procedures, policy formation, role-based authorization methodologies, authentication technologies, and security attack pathologies.
- Proven ability to work under stress in emergencies; flexibility to handle pressure coming from all directions simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage client, management, and coworker expectations.

Qualifications required:
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with an information technology focus is preferred.
2. Cisco Security certification CCNA Security, CCNP Security, CCIE Security is preferred.
3. Security certification CISSP, SANS, etc. is preferred.
