Key accountability:

  • Manage and direct construction team by providing communication, coordination and follow-up to meet project goals and objectives.
  • Manage and monitor construction progress throughout regular meetings, site walkthrough and inspection and ensure the progress is in line with construction schedule.
  • Ensure activities are performed in accordance with established company quality procedures, HSE codes and standards and recognized industry standards.
  • Manage and oversee the output from detail design through commission and start up and ensure project scope of work and schedule are clearly defined.
  • Review and approve all construction related documents, drawings, method statement, plans, procedures, etc. and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope.
  • Report to company management through the regular forums to provide the status and concerns of the project. Resolve construction issues and challenges related to contractor and monitoring their performance.
  • Interface with other company departments; Engineering, QA/QC, HSSE, Commissioning, Operation, etc.
  • Check and ensure the completion of the milestone activity to verify payment certificate.
  • Conduct and attend all meetings necessary for the project internally within company departments and with contractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring constructability, assembly and utilization of construction techniques throughout the life of the project.
  • Manage the mechanical completion and ensure project handover is completed to required timescales and delivery milestones.
  • Developing Omani construction team by on-the-job training and active participation in their development plan if required.

Bachelor degree in Construction Management or related field. Experience required: 10-15 years.
