JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

- Develop and lead all strategic and tactical initiatives related to the procurement of raw materials, chemicals, and packaging materials
- Lead the sales and operations planning meetings to coordinate activities across the different departments
- Follow market developments in the key supply segments and build an extensive understanding of the industry, suppliers, and competitor trends
- Research the developing trends across the industry to optimize the decision making on supplier identification, selection, and pricing.
- Prepare analytics and scenarios for different operating variables
- Inventory management and optimization (cost, aging, working capital impact)
- Identify and lead the implement of cost improvement plans
- Identify risks to supply that could result stock out situations and take mitigating actions to prevent such occurrences
- Establish and maintain a system to research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
- Prepare reports to senior management on raw material market activities, trends, and forecasts
- Complete tactical procurement activities and optimize inventories
- Coordinate with the supply chain team in the execution of the monthly shipment plans
- Experience in planning, inventory management, international logistics, imp/exp

REQUIREMENTS

- 3 - 5 years of supply chain experience in the petrochemicals/manufacturing industry
- Excellent knowledge and experience in SAP and MS Office applications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree in logistics/supply chain/operations research/business administration.
- Certifications (a plus): CPIM, CSCP
