JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Senior Accountant up to 3.9k Usd for an E-Commerce (Fashion) Company in Muscat, Oman
• Will act as a Head of Finance Operations for a medium-sized start-up company
• Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice
• Verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Producing error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Provide input into the department’s goal-setting process
• Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
• Allocate resources and manage cash flows
• Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information
• Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
REQUIREMENTS
• Master’s Degree in Commerce or CA Inter qualification
• At least 10 years of total experience in the finance department
• Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be an advantage
• Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.,
• Experience from the e-commerce industry is an advantage but NOT mandatory
• Capable and experience in handling a team under the finance department
• Experience from a start-up company would be highly preferable
• Must be able to work independently
• Expert in time management, multi-tasking, and reports
• Stability and maturity to take the role is important
• Strong communication and business application skills
• Analytical and a problem solver
