To contribute towards achievement of set goals and objectives through effective leadership of the assigned team, targeting different trade channels for consistent growth.

What you will do:

Description of Accountability:

  • Strategic Business Development: Lead and drive the business development function in the solar sector, identifying new opportunities and implementing growth initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively engage with a diverse set of stakeholders, including government bodies, clients, and partners, to foster strong relationships and collaborations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of energy sector regulations in Oman and the GCC, ensuring compliance and leveraging regulatory frameworks for business advantage.
  • Strategic Analysis and Research: Develop a deep understanding of the energy market dynamics to provide insights and drive market access strategies. Utilize strong analytical and modeling skills for strategic business analysis, market intelligence, and research.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address challenges effectively and implement remedial actions.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify gaps and opportunities in the market to explore potential alliances, partnerships, and acquisitions.
  • Product registration and material acceptance sheet approval process wherever it is necessary.
  • Manage end to end (supply to collection of payment) process with all necessary documentation.
  • Manage debtors within budget days (timely collection of payments).
  • Support and assist the manager in task and team handling as well as take charge of business in his or her absence.

What equips you for the role:

  • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a key position in a similar industry with a proven track record of successfully handling similar trade channels.
  • University degree or master's preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in business development and strategic analysis in the power or solar sector.
  • Proven experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
  • Work experience with technical knowledge of energy sector regulations in Oman or GCC.
