Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Electrical Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Porto or Lisbon office in Portugal.
This critical role will work as part of the Infrastructure team, developing infrastructure electric design in the different project design stages.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Designing and developing studies for Medium and Low Voltage power infrastructure (distribution networks and public lighting).
- Designing and developing studies for urban telecommunications infrastructure (ducting/distribution, GSM, CCTV).
- Preparing reports and technical assessments on the technological aspects of specific systems, products, and processes in the fields of telecommunications, Smart Cities, and IoT.
- Engaging with clients and local authorities.
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and the technical value of final deliverables.
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and more than 5 years of experience in a similar position. Prior experience in the Gulf is an advantage. Having a membership of a professional institution is desirable.
Furthermore, you should demonstrate:
- Experience in the development of urban infrastructure projects - Medium and Low Voltage electrical networks, public lighting, and telecommunications networks.
- Knowledge of electrical design software (ETAP, Dialux, etc).
- Knowledge of Smart Cities and IoT applied to public infrastructure is a plus.
- Familiarity with national and international standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Critical and analytical thinking for problem-solving.
- Sense of responsibility, results orientation, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Solid knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience with 3D tools is a plus.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
