JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE

Employment: Full Time

- Map all processes within the research division. Including all activities and transactions needed for the completion of those activities
- Develops and implements metrics and performance targets to benchmark with other institutions.
- Identifies issues and/or policies that have the potential to negatively impact the performance of the division and or the delivery of research.
- Works with research administration staff and others to develop appropriate action plans to improve quality service.
- Identifies deficiencies within the division processes, develop a precise definition of the problem.
- Assists in the development of improvement plans with department/unit managers and supervisors in response to identified deficiencies
- Establishes/maintains good relationships with central administration departments and department leaders to promote a cooperative and constructive environment for improvement.
- Other duties as may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

- More than 10 years of experience in central administration or operational units at the level of manager or above
- Sizable experience with processes, the candidate has been a process owner and has experience in multiple organizations at various levels
- An intensive research organization and/or university experience is a must
- Experience mapping processes, reviewing processes and making recommendations for improvement
- Strong education and professional qualifications

HIGHLY DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in more than one university/research organization is desirable
- Experience in a multicultural environment
- Financial background is preferable

Work typically takes place in a normal office environment and requires:
- Standing
- Walking
- Sitting
- Operating a PC and other office equipment
