JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
Linum Consult’s client is currently in the process of expanding and is seeking an Audit Senior Officer to join their team in Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Conducting thorough audits of the company’s business, operational, and financial processes; evaluating compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of procedures, identifying key gaps, and recommending areas for improvement
• Building the technical aspects of the Internal Audit plans, focusing on areas identified as high risk to ensure that the company adheres to statutory obligations, financial accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Keeping up to date with the latest auditing standards, best practices, and relevant changes in underlined laws and regulations, and evaluating compliance with regulatory standards
• Preparing individual internal audit programmes and the Audit Terms of Reference for assignments
• Acting as custodian of the Audit Action Tracking database
Requirements:
• Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, with at least a professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant or Chartered Auditor. Ideally have additional qualifications with ACFE, CISA, or CIA• At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role within large companies
• Fluent in spoken and written English, with any Arabic language skills an advantage
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills
• Previous experience of working in Qatar and/or other Gulf countries
