JOB DESCRIPTION / ROLE
This role will work as an individual at an expert in AV technical and operation environment. The Senior Video Technician is responsible for the installation and maintenance of all of the Audio & Video equipment in a location, such as a mobile field unit, digital screens, sound systems or master control unit. This can include switchers, digital screens and playout systems, monitors and screens, video switcher, among other equipment.
This role will also be to maintain the equipment, including replacing hardware parts and connectors, upgrading software. Maintenance of video equipment also includes calibration. When calibrating equipment, video engineers make adjustments so that the video signal, such as the color and black levels, falls within technical standards.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in AV or Electrical/Electronic (Technical/Engineering).
- Minimum of 4 years working experience in the field of remote video broadcasting Industry, Video Post-Production, and one year as Senior Technician
- Language and proficiency (Fluent in English/ written & Spoken)
- Computer Literate (Engineering related and Office work)
- Able to take fast and correct decision on the spot.
- Requires a superior level of technical knowledge & understanding of video signals and codecs, video signal troubleshooting & post production workflow.
- Fair understanding on IT configuration
- Ability to adapt to new situations and learn quickly
- Ability to analyze data from various sources and determine next actions
